You will see an exhibition on how the book changed the world, and on how and why this happened in Venice, gateway between East and West.

The leading figure in this revolution was a stranger, who came to Venice from Rome to rediscover ancient Greece filtered through Byzantium: Aldus Manutius.

Between 1495 and 1515 he printed a hundred-odd editions of an unparalleled beauty, which actually created the modern book and publisher, and above all invented the reading public.
